One of the things I’m most passionate about now is our forum. It’s a central hub that houses our members area also.
Guests can visit the forum at the link in the sidebar, but guests cannot post, and guests can’t get at the “good stuff”, which is reserved for owners of the book. To purchase the book, click on the link to the home page, again on the sidebar.
In the forum, we have a download area (members only), where every week I’ve been adding 1 or 2 or more new reports. I try to make the reports fit into the overall theme, in other words something that tells how to do something that will help increase someone’s income. Maybe a new business idea (for example Bum Marketing). Maybe how to generate more traffic to a website. Lots of different things, it seems certain types of topics are hot for a while, then something else.
Right now as I write this there have been about 2 dozen bonus reports added to the members area, just since December, so about 2 months.
Once someone buys the book, they get to join the forum, and they get everything in the members area. At least for now. That may someday change where the book becomes sold separately, and the members area access is a premium feature sold separately. But of course, those that bought the book before the policy changes will never have that premium feature taken away from them.
In the beginning the book was cheaper. After I started spending hundreds of dollars a month to load up the download area, I realized that the value of the book had been increased substantially, so I raised the price of the book.
Someday, like I mentioned, the book (the strategy), and the members area (the system) will be separated. Possibly. Otherwise nobody will be able to afford the book, even if they don’t care about the (eventually) 350 great business ideas and software products contained inside the members area.
The other thing about the forum is of course the ability for book owners to share their thoughts, ask questions and get answers, and have a place to go to communicate with others that have like goals.
So far it seems to be working out great.
