It’s been estimated that 95% of those that attempt to earn money with Internet Marketing fail to earn more than they could if they just spent the same amount of time working a part time job at a fast food restaurant.
It’s been estimated that 80% of those that attempt to earn money with Internet Marketing will fail to earn a profit of any kind.
So, what are the odds of your succeeding?
Based on the above stats, you could say 20 to 1 or 5 to 1.
You’d be wrong.
First of all, the 80% probably never found this blog, or spend any time trying to improve themselves. And most of the 95% are watching television right now.
If you believe you can succeed in Internet Marketing, or if you believe you’ll fail in Internet Marketing, you’re right, either way.
For 3 years, if you were watching my progress with this stuff, you would have called me a failure. But you see, I didn’t think that way. I was too stubborn. I tried everything. I failed at most things. Every failure put me closer to eventual success.
I’ve said before “failure is your friend”, especially if you “fail fast” and move on. In the beginning I wasn’t failing fast enough. When I finally “got it” I began to “get it”.
You can too. Keep reading this blog and others of interest. Avoid the obvious drivel.
Post in some of the better internet marketing forums and soak up everything they have to offer. Ask questions. Don’t lurk.
Invest in your education. How much would a 4 year college education cost you? 4 years to start with, and probably $40,000 at the very least. With that benchmark, doesn’t it sound reasonable that spending 2 to 3% of that money and 10% of that time is a reasonable investment if your goal is to work from home in your pajamas or whatever?
At some point soon, I’ll be compiling a recommended library of books, tools, and other resources you should consider if you’re serious. If you’re not serious, there’s probably something good on TV right now.
I invested much more than the above amounts, I spent too much money and too much time. You don’t have to.
